Gli scienziati hanno scoperto che la tossina interagisce con i lipidi presenti nelle membrane protettive che circondano le cellule tumorali.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Il <strong>Dr. Paul Beales<\/strong>, un ricercatore della <em>Leeds University<\/em> ha detto:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Le terapie per il cancro che attaccano la composizione dei lipidi sulle membrane cellulari diventer\u00e0 la nuova classe di <strong>farmaci anti-cancro<\/strong>. Nelle cellule sane, invece, le stesse molecole strutturali si trovano sulla superficie della membrana interna e quindi non vengono intaccate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Quando l&#8217;MP1 si lega ai lipidi, essa scardina la struttura della membrana e crea grandi fori attraverso i quali fuoriescono tutte le molecole di vitale importanza per la sopravvivenza di una cellula tumorale.
