Volume (dimensioni)<\/strong><br>Le anemie possono essere suddivise in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Macrocitiche<\/strong>: MCV >100 fL;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Normocitiche<\/strong>: tra 80 e 100 fL;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Microcitiche<\/strong>: &lt;80 fL.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Le <strong>anemie macrocitiche<\/strong>, con un MCV superiore a 120 fL, sono definite <strong>megaloblastiche<\/strong>. Le anemie legate all&#8217;ipotiroidismo, all&#8217;epatopatia cronica e all&#8217;alcolismo possono essere macrocitiche. Questa condizione pu\u00f2 essere determinata da:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Alterazioni delle cellule staminali emopoietiche, come nell&#8217;anemia aplastica o nelle sindromi mielodisplastiche.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alterazioni delle staminali in una linea di differenziazione, come nell&#8217;<strong>eritroblastopenia<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alterazioni della maturazione dei precursori eritropoietici, come nei difetti della sintesi dell&#8217;emoglobina (<strong>anemia sideropenica<\/strong>) o del DNA (anemia megaloblastica).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Invasione midollare da parte di cellule neoplastiche di origine emopoietica o extramidollare.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I reticolociti sono precursori pi\u00f9 immaturi dei globuli rossi e generalmente rappresentano lo 0,5-2,5% del totale dei globuli rossi circolanti.
