L&#8217;uranio \u00e8 un elemento <a title=\"Non Solo CO2 \u2013 Le Scorie Radioattive\" href=\"http:\/\/bmscience.net\/blog\/non-solo-co2-le-scorie-radioattive\/\"><strong>radioattivo<\/strong><\/a>. In piccolissime quantit\u00e0 \u00e8 ininfluente.<br>Dato che per\u00f2 le centrali consumano enormi quantit\u00e0 di carbone, la quantit\u00e0 di Uranio sprigionato inizia a farsi <strong>consistente<\/strong>. Basti pensare che molte centrali termiche producono pi\u00f9 radiazioni delle centrali nucleari.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"250\" height=\"286\" src=\"https:\/\/bmscience.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/piombo11.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2103\" style=\"width:126px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 id=\"rtoc-6\"  class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Metalli_Pesanti\"><\/span><strong>Metalli Pesanti<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">La combustione del carbone libera nell&#8217;aria molti metalli pesanti come il <strong>piombo<\/strong> che \u00e8 <strong>cancerogeno<\/strong>. Questo, dato il peso, rimane in basso, costituendo una minaccia continua per quelli che abitano le zone attorno alla centrale.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"377\" src=\"https:\/\/bmscience.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/carbone-energia1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2106\" style=\"width:219px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bmscience.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/carbone-energia1.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.bmscience.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/carbone-energia1-300x226.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 id=\"rtoc-7\"  class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Ceneri\"><\/span><strong>Ceneri<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Le ceneri non bruciano durante la combustione, ma si uniscono ai gas di scarico sotto forma di una <strong>polvere sottile<\/strong>, che rende l&#8217;aria meno respirabile e da al <strong>fumo<\/strong> il classico colore nero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Dato che il rendimento di una centrale a carbone \u00e8 <strong>minore<\/strong> rispetto ad altri tipi di centrali termiche, per produrre una certa quantit\u00e0 di energia c&#8217;\u00e8 bisogno di molto pi\u00f9 materiale combustibile (nonostante ci\u00f2 i costi sono minori) il che comporta un aumento vertiginoso di &nbsp;<strong>fumi tossici<\/strong>.
